GPS Accuracy Warning
All GPS points are from a hiking grade GPS. Under certain circumstances, especially under dense forest canopy, these points can be off by as much as 100 meters. So do not rely 100% on them. Use your common sense and the sense of direction. Pay close attention to trail descriptions. Always seek local knowledge if you are not comfortable

Rathnapura Palabathgala Trail to Sripada
This trail goes through the evergreen rain forest of the peak wilderness sanctuary and it is closer with the nature compared to the popular Hatton-Maskeliya route to Adam's peak. Low land vegetation covers the trail at the beginning and vegetation gradually transforms to a mountain cloud forest towards the trail end. Peak wilderness sanctuary is among the best areas for birds and butterflies in Sri Lanka as well.

Trail to World's End from Belihuloya via Nonpareil.
This is a trail with remarkable diversity of terrain, weather and vegetation. It starts off with a stretch across beautiful paddy fields. You will then be walking (and of course climbing) through pines plots, grass lands, montane forest patches, tea estates and finally through a cloud forest to reach world's end.

Scenic and adventure drive to Horton Plains from Kalupahana
This unique track will give you an opportunity to enjoy some of the best hill country landscapes of Sri Lanka and push you and your vehicle to the limits as you pass hair pin bends exceeding 15 degrees gradient. One section of the trail is so difficult to pass, so that it is popularly knows as the "Devils staircase". You will also be able to see the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, the "Bambarakanda falls".

Trail to PathanOya Falls from Pitadeniya Conservation Centre (PCC) - Sinharaja Rain Forest
Trail to "PathanOya Ella" falls is one of several nature trails from the Pitadeinya Conservation Centre in the southern tip of Sinharaja Rain forest. This area of Sinharaja forest encompasses several beautiful waterfalls. Walking the trail described here will let you observe two of them, "Kekune Ella" falls and "PathanOya Ella" falls.

Mulawella Nature Trail from Kudawa Conservation Centre (KCC) - Sinharaja Rain Forest
Trail to Mulawella peak is one of the popular nature trails in Sinharaja forest, accessible from the most convenient entrance to Sinharaja, the KCC.Mulawella Peak is one of the several mountain peaks in Sinharaja forest. Even though Mulawella is not the highest peak in Sinharaja (Highest peak is Hinipitigala), it offers a very good scenic view of the mighty rain forest, better than the view from most other peaks.

Thotupola Kanda Nature Trail - Horton Plains National Park
Trail to Thotupola kanda will let you experience the unique montane forest ecosystem of Horton plains with minimum difficulty. On a clear day, you will be able to enjoy the breath-taking view of the surrounding savanna and forest patches of Horton Plains from the summit. Even though Thotupola kanda is the third highest peak in Sri Lanka, this trail is easy to tackle since the elevation gain from trail head to the peak is quite small.

Kirigalpoththa Nature Trail - Horton Plains National Park
Kirigalpothatha is the second highest peak in Sri Lanka after Piduruthalagala. Trail to summit of Kirigalpoththa is arguably the best nature trail in Horton Plains. It is not too though (but not easy either) and will let you experience all aspects of the unique and fragile eco-system of Horton plains. The trail goes through areas of wet grass land, cloud forests and scrubs at the summit. A wide variety of beautiful wild flowers can also be seen during the hike.

Sinhagala Nature Trail from Kudawa Conservation Centre (KCC) – Sinharaja Rain Forest
Trail to Sinhagala peak will take you deep in to the magnificent
Sinahraja rain forest and you will get an opportunity to walk along tracks only
visited by few. It’s one of the most rewarding hikes in terms of the diversity
of scenery, landscape and the view from the summit. Since it is a lengthy walk
and involves an extremely steep climb to reach the summit, it is arguably the
most challenging hikes you can do in Sinharaja.

Trail to Siththara Gal-lena (Cave) via Dhuwili Ella from Kosmulla – Sinharaja Rain Forest
The southern boarder of Sinharaja rain forest has a large number of waterfalls and beautiful streams hidden in it. Kosmulla – Duhuwili Ella – Siththara Gal Lena (Cave) trail is a walk along a stream which create one of the largest waterfalls in Sinharaja, the “Kosmulla Dhuwili(duwili)-Ella”.

Trail to “Hariyawa Dola” waterfall complex – Sinharaja Rain Forest
Lankagama is a remote village in southern province of Sri Lanka situated at the boarder of sinharaja rain forest. One of the most interesting natural attractions in the area is the presence of a complex of beautiful waterfalls with in less than 1 square kilometer area with in Sinharaja Forest.

Trail to Lanka Ella Falls from Bambarakanda - Kalupahana
Lanka Ella is a isolated waterfall located in the area. The fall gets its name due to the shape of the base pool which resembles the tear-drop shape of Sri Lanka . Trail to Lanka Ella mostly winds through Pines plots and savannas and offer several scenic outlooks in to the forest covered mountain range of Horton plains and vast plains in eastern Sri Lanka .

Trail to The Top of Bambarakanda Falls - Kalupahana
Bambarakanda Falls is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Trail to the top of this falls is an exciting walk mostly entirely through Pines plots. At the top, there is another small but beautiful waterfall and a large pool. Scenery all around at the top of the falls is unbelievable including the uninterrupted view in to the end-less eastern plains of Sri Lanka.

Trail to Uduwara Falls and Nagadowa Falls - Bambarakanda
Uduwara falls and Nagadowa falls are two beautiful waterfalls hidden deep in the mountains around Bambarakanda area. Both waterfalls are located in a steep; difficult to access location between two mountains. Therefore this hike is to the closest observation point where you can see both waterfalls clearly from the mountain in-front of them.
